evolution

Oil on cotton canvas, 36 x 36″, March-April 2017

Began life as an abstract set of lines and colours, evolved into a Francis Bacon parody, and then, dissatisfied with it, altered it into Raphael’s idealised figure of Diogenes in “The School of Athens”… still rough paint daubed on at haphazard, but then I like it like that… what more needs to be said?
