A few snapshots of that part of my studio in which oil paintings are made…

Approx 12 x 12′ square with rooflight and large window (draped) at back.

Plenty of room for materials and tools…

Including bottles of dry pigments, just in case…

Completed framing forty canvases with the help of an underpinner and whatnot (done in the workshop part of the studio.)

Currently stretching and priming a dozen (3 coats of acrylic each) canvases…

Doing as much of it as possible myself mainly because of the low quality of ready-made art materials nowadays.

Speaking of which I stretched and primed a piece of hessian sackcloth with a history: it had been a sack that contained peanuts for the birds! It’s been a good while since I painted on rough hessian! Not in any hurry though. It’s almost a work of art as it is!

Front view…

And back.
