Beautiful sight, a 6 or 7 year old apple in full bloom! Actually this image is more archetypal than individual. I mean it’s a composite of all the young apple trees in the orchard. They are all different yet all closely related. After some preliminary struggles with the subject (an extremely difficult one for the painter) I have managed I think to produce a good painting. Leastways, one I am happy with!
