Well, after the gloom of the previous painting comes the ‘high’ of this piece… I used decorator’s not artist’s brushes and splashed the paint on all the time referring to a snapshot. The brushes were only 1″ but that’s larger than the one’s I usually use… one can get the canvas initially roughly covered in virtually no time at all. Same tree as in the previous painting but viewed from a slightly different and angle / position. There’s a lot of turps and I need to leave it to evaporate.
