Two most recent studies photographed side by side for thought and consideration

I definitely don’t want this image to look like something out of the American wild west… even though I’m aware of the fact that Buffalo Bill Cody and his wild west show – a kind of circus – were in Paris and that Rene Secretan saw the show and dressed up like Cody… apparently Vincent laughed at him and called him Puffalo Pill. Was that a mispronunciation or a deliberate jibe? It seems Rene and his Parisian friends regarded it as a mispronunciation on Vincent’s part and one that amused them no end.
