Somehow, here is a person …
Exactly! That was the point I wanted to make. This young woman is a person. She works in the sex entertainment industry but that doesn’t make her a lesser being. She is caught up in the spider’s web of causality just like the rest of us. Who are we to judge? I’m not religious but the words of Jesus Christ spring to mind when he said, Let the man among you that is morally perfect cast the first stone (or words to that effect.)
Agreed
But I was making different points. Art elicits responses. Sex is taboo: that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s hidden but that it is highly charged, magical, so surrounded by ritual and rites to handle that charge. Sex is central to human experience so also to art but as you point out, often disguised.
A very interesting take on the matter… I’m still mulling over your thoughts / comment on the subject of sexual taboo… will get back to you.
