That’s spooky
It was a nice watercolour drawing of a sexy woman but I wasn’t happy with it and kept redoing it, until, eventually… ‘death and the maiden’ is an old theme in western art, a kind-of memento mori… even beautiful rosebuds (as in “gather ye rosebuds while ye may”) wither and die… and death is a problem, a big problem – whatever the assurances of the philosophers! Love and loss are intricately entwined…
