You’ve achieved a wonderful capture, Peter.
David, thank you so much… whether the anguished soul is mine or hers I don’t know… probably both… she’s a pawn in a shitty business and I feel for her… so maybe the anguish is mine… I was also thinking about the expressions of grief and pain depicted by Giotto… the human emotions are surely what human beings, humanity in general, is all about… the philosophers may come up with rational explanations but at the end of the day all their explanations sound like the hollow compromises of hollow men (said he, nodding in the direction of TS Eliot…)
Something special caught my eye
straight away. And now you mention
GIotto, yes, that anguish barely below
the surface.
