Bringing two seemingly disparate elements together, fauna / human flesh and flora / the natural environment, seems to be the way forward. Clearly flesh adorns the natural landscape and vice versa. The two complement each other perfectly. The great masters of painting seem to have understood this and that’s probably why their figures frequently (perhaps more frequently than not) appear in open air natural settings.
