Looks lie it is coming along nicely.
I like the color for the umbrella.
The white highlights on the face bring out the shape of it.
The expression of the girl’s face is good too!

Thanks Ryan! You’re very observant. The girl is from Thailand. Actually she’s a woman, a mom. And the umbrella, so she tells me is from a place in northern Thailand that specialises in hand-made umbrellas and parasols. Thanks again Ryan! The umbrella is exceedingly difficult to paint! So I’m having to simplify it, create an impression of it rather than make a detailed copy. Well, it’s in the background, (the area of real interest is the face,) so I can get away with an impression. Otherwise it’d take months of work!
