My dear, I become very much aware only of my deficiencies when I encounter superior intelligences! (Such as yourself!)
I remember this saying of one of the people I know, “Everyone is equal.” Maybe he changed his mind, but there’s actually no scale to measure sagacity, and even if there is, it is fatuous to do so.
Yes, we are all equal in the sense that we are all mortal… but also everybody is different, character-wise, temperament-wise, intellect-wise, and so on… we’re all unique and yet we’re all the same!
