An old and curious hexagonal building

Pen ink and wash on A4, undated but done approx 15 years ago. I heard it was designed by the English architect John Nash but I don’t know if that’s true or not. Certainly he designed a number of buildings within the Lough Key forest park. This could originally have been a lodge or gatehouse since it is situated outside but opposite an entrance to the park.
